Textures washed ashore.

Driftwood is a collection that brings the textures and movement of the seashore into clothing. Botanical prints, mustard tones, sheer tulle and mesh, oversized sequins and wide-leg black trousers come together through the contrast between lightness and texture. Inspired by ropes, nets and the sea, SS’16 reinterprets natural surfaces through strong colour and layering.

Driftwood takes shape around materials washed ashore, fishing nets and the traces left by the sea. The collection brings together Botanica’s organic prints, Ochre’s warm mustard tones, Salt’s simple black ground, Netting’s mesh and tulle textures and Tide’s light-catching sequins on the same shore.

Sheerness, layering, knit and shine rebuild the sea’s ever-changing nature through different materials. Drawing on a natural, raw setting, Driftwood expresses Natalie Kolyozyan’s strong use of texture in a lighter, more fluid and freer summer language.
